Who is it for?
This product is designed for families with at least one child in the range of about 3-10 years old though the activities and projects can be enjoyed by babies all the way up to grandparents. Many families use Rooted Childhood as a supplement to their homeschool curriculum.

About the recipes
The recipes in the Rooted Childhood collections are designed to be simple enough for children to participate in a meaningful way.
Unlike the recipes in most other Rooted Childhood collections, the recipes in the Santa Lucia collection are NOT easily adaptable to be gluten free. They CAN be adapted to be dairy free/vegan by using milk and butter alternatives and flax eggs.
Philosophy
Rooted Childhood is a secular resource with an emphasis on celebrating nature. You are encouraged to use the collections in a way that supports and honors your family values.
The elements included in Rooted Childhood are grounded in a variety of educational and early childhood methods with a strong emphasis on the Charlotte Mason and Waldorf philosophies.
